Aynsley China was established in 1775 by John Aynsley in Lane End, Stoke-on-Trent, before eventually relocating to the Portland Works in Longton, England. The company earned a stellar reputation for producing exceptionally fine bone china, eventually gaining royal warrants from Queen Victoria, Queen Mary, and Queen Elizabeth II. Their commitment to superior craftsmanship made Aynsley pieces highly sought after by collectors worldwide.

The iconic Pembroke pattern, featuring exotic birds and vibrant floral sprays set against crisp white bone china with delicate gilt accents, was inspired by Japanese Imari motifs from the 18th century. Introduced in the mid-20th century, the pattern became one of Aynsley's most successful and enduring tableware lines, gracing dining rooms and parlors across the globe.
